Dear Friends,

Greetings in Jesus’ name in these extraordinary days for the gospel. We have been hearing and seeing the wonderful difference we are making in many poverty stricken areas due to COVID-19 lockdown. I want to thank you sincerely for the generous response from many of you. We have sent these gifts to our pastors who have been doing a sterling job in spite of restrictions. This is gaining them favour with the government officials, who have received help, also, with handmade cotton masks sown with the sewing machines we have provided. The children in the orphanages have been working to sew the masks and fill the food bags, which is a practical lesson for the young. Our pastors and their teams have personally walked around villages, giving out hundreds of food bags and masks. The temperatures are high, like 45°C, so this is very tiring and challenging for them. Please remember them in your prayers for strength and wisdom in the distribution. I do believe that “all things are working for good to those who love God” (Rom.8:28) and that our giving for basic needs without any “strings attached” will have eternal results. Pastor Johney in Kakinada has begun a TV and media program which is excellent and there is an increase in the numbers of children as well as adults watching. There are awesome results already as we sow beside all waters for His Glory.

With Appreciation and Lovingly, Nancy

Rob Brown, Global volunteer, shares… We live in interesting times. Jesus told us to expect such things and in fact, to watch for them: earthquakes, famines, pandemics, terror, great storms and the like. One translation puts it like this: “Great earthquakes will be in various places, and there shall be famines and plagues and panics and terror, and great signs from the sky shall appear and there will be great storms.” (Luke 21:11) Sound like the 6 o’clock news? It’s all there! Jesus went on to say: “Be always on the watch, and pray that you may be able to escape all that is about to happen and that you may be able to stand before the Son of Man.” ( Luke 21:36) Why would Jesus predict this and tell us to watch out for it? Simple, because these very things are the sign that the end of the age is upon us. We must be alert and ready. In the same discourse, He also tells us another important sign that must precede the end: “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.” (Mat 24:14) This is our generation’s responsibility! Our partners in India have grabbed the opportunities that these unprecedented times have offered them to really advance the Gospel in a way that is truly inspiring: Sunday school on local television, feeding of thousands of families and providing local health workers with personal protective equipment. The communities, authorities and media are really taking notice. The pandemic and economic fallout in India is expected to get much worse before it gets better.

Report from Ps. Samuel John… Thank you very much for the help you are extending to meet the needs of poor and needy and to lepers and widows in 5 places, including the places where Juni and his team minister. It indeed blessed many families for an entire week. Everyone received cheerfully, some saying that they did not eat food for three days. We distributed 10 different vegetables, 1 kg each, and 1 kg dal and 1 litre oil to 350 families (Of course we raised some more money apart from what you gave within the family). May God bless you for your generosity. Thanks also for the extra support you have sent to our pastors. One request is even though the lockdown here is still continuing they are allowing us to travel to nearby places. So my humble request is there are nearly 100 families in and around Bollapragada. It would be good if we can help them as 70 percent of them attend our church. Lockdown struggles continue to grow here. Many people are starving for food here and the suicidal deaths and deaths from malnutrition are also increasing by the day. Please pray that India will look to the Lord. Helping the poor & needy.

Report from Pastor Johney… In continuous effort for helping to the poorest of the poor and needy families in COVID-19 pandemic in our region, we are pleased to thank all who helped us to bless the needy people through Faith and Vision Ministries (India) collectively distributing daily needs such as rice, refined oil, sugar, wheat flour, vegetable etc., and financial support to widows and pastors. We have blessed, so far, fifty pastors, 700 families and distributed 3000 masks. We thank Global Nulife and all who sowed in this ministry. Glory be to God. We have a new television ministry. Sujatha, my wife, shared the Jonah story which was very impressive. Seven hundred plus people have watched this program. We are praying for a video camera so that we may not rely upon the media people. We can then also do programs in English (stories and songs to view on YouTube). Our current TV channel will not allow us to use what they have filmed on other TV channels. Other TV channels want to broadcast also. The only way to expand our coverage is to buy a professional video camera and film our own Bible lessons.

Please prayerfully consider financially supporting this great work. Donations can be made by direct credit to Global Nulife Ministries ASB Bank A/c No. 12-3072-0380376-01
